Managing dishes is hard work

Is this just a fact of life or is this a constant battle to keep dishes from piling up.

Even making huge efforts feel like i can’t keep up.

Used to use paper plates and plastic forks - but don’t go back to that.

My dishes pile up until my sink is full and I put them in the dishwasher. Low motivation blows.

I live alone and have three plates and three bowls.

I will try to have less bowls and plates.

If I put it somewhere hard to get to. Don’t want to throw them out.

Doing dishes is a chore but sometimes it’s relaxing. I do them after each meal.

I bought a tabletop dishwasher for £200

It’s 6 years old now and still works!

Know it’s a pretty lazy solution, but I never did the dishes, and needed a solution

It stores everything until I run it twice a week

Think a dishwasher tablet only costs about 12p

If it helps it’s with it.
Thinking about options and how to make the is easier.

we clean as we go in this house…the dishes like pans might be left over until the next day but we stay up with it as we go…voila…instant clean kitchen sinks…

I keep them from piling up by washing dishes after every meal, and not letting myself end the day before today’s dishes are done.
If anything might crust if I let it be, I rinse it off asap.

I do the dishes every morning. If there is not many i wait until the next day. But they never pile up. I force myself to do it. Some days i dont feel like it and have no motivation. But i do it for my dad. Its literally my only chore.

AGH!

I can’t stand doing dishes because it feels like I’m cleaning everyone else’s mess which makes me feel worthless.

And I keep thinking how much better it would be if people ate foods that were like less dish heavy…

Idk what though.

Hand foods like grapes/watermelon? Idk…

Otherwise what I try to do is organize them a bit when washing. Put the utensils in a big bowl or cup, put the bowls together, stack the cups, stack the plates,… just keep it all separate and neat.

Then when I load the dishwasher it feels a lot easier loading it.

I only trust myself to do a good job on that at least. I organize putting them in the dishwasher too - or try to. Putting the forks together and separate from spoons/knifes/other utensils so when I unload it, it moves a lot faster.
