I can’t share links on my mobile, i don’t know how to but this poor guy went to the Gp with stress and trouble sleeping. He was given sertraline and zolpiclone. Then he went back because the setraline wasn’t helping. The dr gave him citalipram and that was the end for him, he took his own life sadly. It just goes to show the seriousness of being on the right meds and the responsibility the doctors have.

My brother went quickly off of his antidepressant medication and took his own life 2 and a half years ago.

Somebody at that Hospital should have fingered him and had him stay until he got better. The system let him down…as well as our entire family.

It’s not like this isn’t known to happen. Why no monitoring? Cripes.

Because unfortunately, most people in healthcare do not care about patients at all. They treat them with hatred. I think many of them are actually true sociopaths.

Not sure I understand what happened, but it sounds like unneeded risks were taken in this case?

I have never taken anti-depressants even when offered them, for my own reasons, but I assume it can affect people’s mood swings, into a suicidal outcome?

@LoveHiking

It is easy to make wide ranging assumptions from previous experiences, but there are always exceptions to the rule which must be taken into account, no matter how accurate a wide ranging assumption is, or whatever you may believe. Certainly some doctors do their jobs diligently, even while others do not, even if the system that surrounds them is detrimental or inadequate.

I think it might help to remember something mature or honorable as a leading example, when dealing with real sociopaths. I am starting to notice that they thrive on immaturity and disintegrating other people’s sense of values. If you can value your own maturity, then it helps place a wall of resistance to their behavior, at least for my own mind internally.

I do understand the unfortunate experience of walking into a hospital situation and dealing with people who are sadistic (enjoy other people’s pain).

The inquest into his death was told Mr Kingston had stopped taking medication in the days leading up to his death.

This doesn’t surprise me at all most antidepressants exept for Wellbutrin I had bizarre experiences prozac was basically making me intoxicated high

And a few made me severely anxious and then depressed

Idk for sure not diagnosing HOWEVER I think that some of these people who are having problems with suicidal thoughts because of antidepressants have bipolar or something other than major depressive disorder
