Family shenanigans on the go. My family is full of ■■■■ ups. I am trying to stay out of it but popped in to see mum and dad and they were dealing with the stress by drinking. They are pretty hard to be around when drunk

Mum and dad were in a right state today. Stressed and drinking. Such hard company to be around when they are like that

Protecting yourself isn’t being selfish. Or, maybe it is, but it’s the kind if selfish you HAVE TO BE.
Take care of yourself. If you don’t, you can’t help anyone else.

As a recovering alcoholic I know how difficult we can be when drinking. You might just have to hunker down with a good book, or a good DVD.

They also had their tv on really loud. It would definitely be disturbing the neighbours. Drunk dad said ■■■■■ em’. Totally out of order
Very drunk people are usually impossible. Make sure all the inebriated are kept separate from their car keys. You need to build up some kind of fire wall between you and your parents when they are drunk. Just think of them as impaired. They will eventually come to their senses.
