My moms fiance and my landlord, who I also live with, is a huge alcoholic. He drinks about 10 beers a day.
You usually hear about alcoholics being angry when drunk, but its the opposite with him. He has a wicked temper when hes sober. When hes drinking, hes a nice person. But he turns into a massive a**hole when sober.
He just cant accept that my mental health problems make it hard for me to hold a job.
Hes a di*k to my mom when hes sober. He raises his voice, slams doors and cabinets, makes nasty remarks/insults.
Sorry for the quick rant… i just needed to get it off my chest.
Anyone else live with an alcoholic? How do they act? Drinking is poison!
My Dad got sober when I was13 years old. When I got schizophrenia a few years later, he told me to get a job. Eventually, my Dad was my generous friend.
My moms an alcoholic she rude mean and unloving, until she gets that’s first drink then she’s all like this is my beautiful daughter. A whole 360 of a person.

you aren’t the authority.
@Daze - I feel sympathy for alcoholics that are still good people and treat others with respect. I do NOT feel sympathy for alcoholics that are shitty people and treat others like sh*t.
I’m glad you are expressing your frustration. I get it, having a couple alcoholics in my family. Hope you can find help with Al anon, Help you with your frustration hopefully.
Don’t be afraid to reach out for support. You are not the problem, tell yourself that everyday. But you can’t be stressed everyday. So don’t be afraid to ask for support, always. Sometimes just talking about it to others who understand helps most of all.
