It took me 35 years to even be able to answer the question: “what do you feel”
If I felt bad, I withdrew in myself or in my room
I think there’s a lot of individual differences
And it isnt all that black and white
Even in women majority fall ill at 30s men fall ill earlier regards to schizophrenia
I always think anything any topic could be discussed infinitely.
Its all how much time we give to a thought .
Else we get lost in thoughts.
Going in as per general agreement is best.
No one says anything about being sain and insain.
Who know ? If group sanity or individual insanity is insane.
I’m not exactly sure what you are saying. Sorry.
I think i will take a break
I didn’t think you did anything wrong.
I know i just read my comment,
it does not make sense,
my thoughts whererunning so fast
that what came in to my mind while typing i typed
I will read though before posting
It’s okay. I was like that this afternoon. I was at work. And so tired. And stressed. And had too much coffee. My colleague kindly sent me home. In a politically correct way.
Hope your thoughts get back to running less fast.
As far as I can see females are making up for lost time. At work the women are just as disrespectful as the guys and want to win at any cost. They generally are a little nicer.
When I was transitioning a few years ago I was on T (testosterone) and definitely felt more aggressive…and my sex drive was incredibly high! I wanted to screw everything in sight!
Unfortunately, the T triggered psychosis and I had to stop it. My libido went back to zero and I was much more passive again. I also got spayed around that time and noticed that my mood was a lot more even without monthly hormone swings…much happier afterwards!
Does the difference in the sexes come down to hormones? Partially, I think yes, but societal influences play a big part, too.
Thats very interesting to hear… I know that hormones play a part but I’ve never thought that so big part.
Sorry to hear about the psychosis part…
may I ask, so transitioning caused you to be psychotic? Or I misunderstood smth? Because I read about this thing some time ago (that transitioning cause side-effects) but its the first time I hear it cause psychosis @WhiteRaven
By the way, I was always interested in gender differences topic. And I am not sure, where these differences come from.
No one is sure for 100%
What is trully absurd (in my opinion) is that in history, only Maybe few percent of women were famous, influencing or ruled the countries.
I was thinking, why it is the way it is, and I believe that men never wanted that women would be and feel powerful.
And in my opinion, we are different, but way more similar than different.
I’ve heard, not factchecked, that Mrs. Einstein (Mitza Maric) was more brilliant than Einstein. She supposedly was the only person who scored higher than him on the entrance test of the university. She supposedly contributed a lot to his theories. Which he didn’t give her enough credit for. It was already by high exception that she could study in university. Everyone knows Einstein as brilliant. Not many people speak of Mitza Maric’s brilliance.
My foremothers were smart. But not allowed to study. Or work. To their huge frustration. Men did not allow women to have such knowledge and positions.
And still. I had a lot more chances. But at school and at home, I was highly discouraged to go into math/science research. My brother is great at it, and was praised. I was steered in a social/management direction, deemed more fitting (and boy, did that work out well…with my Aspi-traits
). Not forced, just constantly told I couldn’t do it. I wished to study for a year at a top foreign university. Had the grades for it. My school advisor refused. And gave me information about being an au pair. I said: i do not want to care for children. I want to learn. He still thought it was better for girls. That is 1999’s Netherlands. Not too long ago.
I don’t like being male but I realised, a long time ago now, that whether male or female I’d still be socially inept.
Thank you.
“We finished some important work that will make my husband world famous.”
If that was really said. That is sad. I think we have a long way to go still, when it comes to feminism. But I’m grateful for what women in the past fought for already.
There are masculine and feminine personality traits, but the vast majority of people have both to a greater or lesser degree, I think, and the averages overlap a fair bit. It is on the fringes where people stand apart. Almost all the hyper masculine people are male and hyper feminine people are female. Also hyper masculinity is associated with social problems and these men often end up in prison.
Men are from Mars, women are from Venus ![]()
I think there are some inherent differences between sexes, but my hypothesis is that it has a lot more to do with nurture than nature.
Hormones play a role, no doubt. That shouldn’t be an argument.
However, strict gender roles are all social construct. Often toxic and passed down for so very long. Even with people try to fight against it.
The transitioning itself didn’t cause psychosis, it was the effects from the weekly testosterone injections.
My friend who transitioned said to have the same effect from testosterone: aggression, libido increase. Another friend - illegally and without doctor’s supervision, which I didn’t agree with, we have clinics here - took estrogen. He noticed a change in the opposite direction.
