Making the whole world a better place

Does anyone have an unusual belief of this.
I don’t know how to shake it off.
It’s a pretty big mission

You can’t change the whole world, but you can change your world by being kind, generous and positive.

It makes me feel not great if I can’t.
Then I get stressed.
But I’m only responsible for myself right

I don’t want to sound like I am dealing in platitudes, but here’s another one - “Better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.”

you may not be able to cure world peace but you can add to it, the theory is if everyone does a little bit towards the cause then it all adds up.

I like that.
But I’ll need to think about that more to really break down this unusual belief if possible.
Because the way I see it is does not everyone’s actions somehow affect everyone in some way or another. That’s one reason why the unusual belief takes the shape of the whole world.
But I just don’t see how that’s possible right now. I’m only a normal person or am I???

That’s what feels more possible atm–just doing my own thing wish I could just accept that though but it’s not easy to

Change one person, change the world entire.

it might be a grandeur delusion type thing thinking you are capable of it somehow, you are not a miracle worker, you cant move mountains but maybe together we can share the weight of the world.

What you describe are the sentiments of most people.

As in yourself?

One thing at a time.

One step at a time.

Everything counts.

It’s okay to focus on yourself and you can’t really give without having or feeling good for yourself too.

I think about death. What will happen when I die. Will I kind of dissolve into the whole world and then feel everything? Omg how would that feel. That’s why the motivation for world peace in my life time.
But then again… What if when I die I go to a realm that feels real that is based on my state of mind that mightttt be a better option.
I know we might just lose our awareness and consciousness when I die but what if not. That’s what I’m concerned about… The just in case part.

Change one other person. I guess changing yourself is where you would start though.

I’m scared of having a child what if it has a serious condition. Or something awful happens to it. Otherwise I would maybe like to.

Some say we come back here because - and I know it probably doesn’t sound true at all - this is where the fun is!

So let’s try to make it that way.

… I know looking at the world issues it totally doesn’t seem true but I believe it’s healthier to think that way.

For example imagine coming back to the world where you are under the control of others since you don’t have a physical body anymore. And imagine the world is slowly getting sicker and sicker including scary things like sunshine ozone issues and environmental disasters etc etc. Everything of the world and maybe universe I dunno.
I just don’t like this option cos it’s so overwhelming. It means life today for me is all about being a bloody desperate role model since forcing people is not the way.
