I wish people could understand that there are ways to express love that don’t involve sex and it is possible to be in a relationship where sex is not a factor until marriage.

I think we should respect people’s choices, whether that is to wait with sex until marriage or to have a string of one-night stands. It’s all cool. Just do what feels right for you. If people give you a hard time over it then they’re asshats.

thats a very traditional point of view but the number of people who will do that is very few especially in this day and age, i admire people that do go through with it though, it shows a degree of self control that is hard to embody.
I have several friends who have chosen to wait until marriage. They’re out there, you just need to look in the right places. Usually church groups and such.

Yeah love just isn’t as popular these days… everyone wants to be single and cool… californication. Horrible for the species… but really is not the dominant mindset it just makes the most noise.
I don’t think love and waiting until marriage for sex have anything to do with each other. I think sex before marriage is more or less crucial, because you ever know… it really could ruin the relationship to have that introduced once it’ set in stone until death…
There are a lot of people out there. Broaden your social horizons… The terms demisexual and pansexual are utilized for those who only desire sex from those who they love or at least have romantic feelings for.
If sex aint your thing there are also asexual folk who wouldn’t pressure you into doing anything.

i have left my husband sooo many times because of my illness, i wonder how we are still going 6 years on. but he is a strong character, sometimes says wrong thingand i go n clam upp inn my bed or i disappear for months on end and the poor guy has to look after the cat n stuff.
but we are together and since my pnurse has been coming and stuff he understands better.
he is a moody so n so as well and he can sulk lol like a child, but we together xxxxx

Interesting are you asexual like me because of the meds shadowdash? I’m a man so trying to fit into the old traditions I’m not going to look for someone till I get a job and can keep it for at least a year. To show that it is stable. Is your partner pressuring you. Just tell them that you don’t feel ready for sex just yet. Of course I don’t know how well that will go over.
