Lost my job

I tried to go back to my aircraft mechanic job after being gone for a month and a half and they said they don’t have anything for me anymore.

Oh well. Hopefully I don’t lose my disability. I am going to try one more month of work out of town and then I am done unless I get another job sometimes soon.

All I can think of to say is sometimes when one door closes another one opens. I’ll be thinking about you and hoping everything goes well.

Aircraft mechanic… :star_struck: In other word, you are a highly skilled people.

Sometimes companies refuse to hire the same person again, but sometimes not. Did you leave the job peacefully?

Yes. I got a part time job that paid rather well so I left for a month on my own accord.

You are skilled in a specific sector… I reckon u will find another job in the same field no?

We will see. I was a new mechanic so I don’t have a lot of experience. But I have applied to a few things.

Good luck with that TomCat

I think I am going to join a gym and try to at least get out of the house and do something productive at least three days a week.

During my SSDI review I guess I can just say I was working but lost my job. I only worked one day this month so this month won’t count as one of my 9 months of trial work period.

I go to my part time job mid April to mid May and I hope Social Security doesn’t try to schedule my review while I am gone. This is the last time I am going to do the part time job so when I am done I will have used up 7 of my 9 months.
