One of the things I notice about my iTunes library is I have a lot of albums by the same artists. I think I kind of know where I want to go next and one needs different kinds for different moods and occasions. Some recommendations would be not just appreciated, but even necessary, especially if it’s contemporary and haven’t heard of them. For now, here’s an example of what I mean:
They’re what I’d call a Canadian Coldplay.
I can’t do without Bjork, Tom Waits, J.J Cale, Sade, Janis Joplin, Joni Mitchell, Bowie. The classics I guess.

This is pretty much what I was aiming for, @kindness, and I’m pretty sure I’ve heard of her. I guess what I meant by “contemporary” is anything from about 1998/99 up until now. Love the song, by the way. Maybe I’ll download her work in the near future.
Not bad, @everhopeful and I’m already into a bit of EDM. Stuff like SOHN and The xx, and classic stuff like Portishead and Massive Attack.
