The data in that article is consistent with other articles that Iāve read and supports the conclusion that it is biological.
The percent of babies that are born with intersex characteristics is ~0.2 - 0.3 % and that percentage goes as high as 1.5% - 1.7% if subtler physical differences in chromosome composition, gonadal structure, hormone levels, and the structure of the internal genital duct systems and external genitalia are included.
