I don’t know. A whole state? Eastern Oklahoma is not flat and treeless like Western Oklahoma. The Barren Fork River meanders through the trees and the hills, creating lots of nice, cool swimming holes in the summer. The hills are small, but they’re a definite improvement over Western Oklahoma. When one travels west the dirt turns red from clay deposits at about the town of Shawnee. John Steinbeck mentioned that in “Grapes of Wrath”. In Western Oklahoma they grow a lot of wheat. There are a lot of Indians in Oklahoma. The name means “Land of the Red Man” in Cherokee. Eastern Oklahoma has mostly Indians from the Five Civilized Tribes. Western Oklahoma has mostly plains Indians. There is a very authentic sixteenth century Cherokee Indian village in Talequah, Oklahoma. It might be worth taking a few hours to visit if you happened to be passing through on a vacation. They also have a dramatization of the “Trail of Tears”. They have a lot of authentic plains Indian culture in Western Oklahoma. I am an eighth Chickasaw myself.

I’m 25% Mexican indian. The tribe is called Yaqui. They are the Mexican branch of the American Apache’s.

I prefer California 10000x though to be honest. That state was so progressive it felt like heaven on earth to me! Except for the feces and trash on the sidewalks that is lol. Was worth it for the great weather though.

I was stranded there once on a layover flight because the Virginia airport was closed due to a blizzard. You guys hang your traffic lights the wrong way (horizontally)!
