I get caught up in thinking that in order to be somebody or be happy I have to have status or something outside of myself to feel ok. I noticed this today when my case worker came to visit I just felt like a big bag of dirt almost the whole session but when I let him listen to my music all of a sudden I felt good about myself. I realized I do this allot try to seem smart or skilled in order to feel like I matter …like I have value. I think deep down I really don’t feel very special lol

Life is what you make it. And believe me - having money does not make you happy. What should make people happy is having a loving wife or husband with your little ones.

All the money in the world - does not compare to the absolute joy you get when you hear your baby laughing. That’s happiness.

Life is happiness as one said…I couldn’t figure out for a long time what he was talking about, but I kind of started to understand

No one is happy all the time in my opinion.

Happiness only occurs in moments is my theory.

Most of life is a bunch of other feelings.

I think everyone looks at everyone else an think they are happy all the time and that’s not true no matter who they are.

I thought so too, so I didn’t understand who said it – but then I realized this feeling is like pain, for example, happiness, and it can be long-lasting

Best is to live simple life and appreciate simple things.

That’s not true.

There is no “best” way to live life.

It’s whatever you want, the individual.

One can’t say what life is or isn’t about.

Sounds very judgmental.

I find when you let go of what you think life should be and except it for what it is brings equanimity.

An individual human life’s purpose is to grow, learn, live a meaning life and perhaps procreate offspring and live to see your offspring procreate as well. Being the richest billionaire, being the smartest PhD achiever or being the greatest basketball player all takes hard work in those fields to get there. Bill Gates, Albert Einstein or Michael Jordan became the best at what they were good at. Those famous people chose the professions they were in because they loved what they did.
