Latuda Drug

Just wondering - has anyone tried Latuda? How is it for you?

I tried it for a month. It didn’t help at all and it caused a bunch of weight gain (though all atypicals cause a lot of weight gain for me).

I’ve been on Latuda for 2 months now. I have my sanity 100%. I noticed increase in appetite the first few weeks. It’s better now. Sometimes during the day i used to feel lazy but it mightve been from my lifestyle. I don’t have any side effects whatsoever. I take it at night with 350 calorie food 60 mg. it makes me a little sleepy.

I’m currently taking Latuda. I have notice a change in my sleep pattern. It makes me sleepy but I don’t feel loopy during the day. The voices are calm but I still hear them. My eating habits haven’t changed though. I eat more sweets than when I was on Zyprexa. I’m currently taking 80mg. I can function better on Latuda than when I was on Zyprexa and Seroquel.

i have been on latuda for about three years, but for over a year of that i have been on another anti-psychotic like invega or haldol.

I take 120 mgs of Latuda at bedtime. Lasting effects into 11:00 am the next day. I’ve been on it several years. The best AP I’ve been on.

It’s hard for me to tell how effective Latuda was for symptoms but I took it for a little over 2.5 years. It was definitely easier to manage the side effects than other meds. That being said, the other med side effects were usually simply unsafe or intolerable.

There were some issues with nausea but after toughing it out I was able to adjust. I have heard that taking a probiotic with it really helps. Sedation wasn’t nearly as bad as the others but I got a little drowsy still. Weight gain didn’t seem to be an issue. I had so much from the stuff before that I lost a bunch but at one point I couldn’t lose the rest. I think most of it was from some physical health issues that made exercise impossible for a while.

As with anything I think where you are in your journey of med taking is going to help you decide what’s best for you. If certain meds have been miserable for you and then you take something that is not wonderful but tolerable you may feel totally different about taking it than if you had never tried anything else.
