Anyone on Latuda?

I’m just switching over from Risperidone and just took my first latuda and I feel so nauseous. Do the side effects get better with time? I feel awful.

Im on Latuda and recently switched from olanzapine to latuda.
Think its been 2 or 3 months.

I am on a small dose and we all react differently so its difficult for me to say much at this point.

I tried abilify which did not feel good for me.

Its important to take latuda with food.
Ive been told a minimum of 350 calories with latuda and glass of water.

Keeping your Dr up dated could be a good idea and try eating good portion of food when you medicating.

It could possibly be withdrawal from other med also…
Such as im coming off olanzapine now but am on latuda instead but might still get reaction to olanzapine leaving my system.

Good luck to you with your medicine.

It might get better after a while.

Ive heard one should try give it couple of months .

Thanks @SacredNeigh7 that’s really helpful. I will make sure I take it with food. I hope Latuda works well for you hon.

yea I’m on latuda. It works better than geode but its a strong medication with some serious side effects. Probably the best one on the market now though.

Just finished my first month of Latuda, am at 80mg. I take it about 30-45 minutes after a 350-400 calorie, or more is better, meal. I can usually just belch it out and the nausea goes away, so I think its gas related. the pharmacist said not to take gas-x or pepto bismo as they will affect the medicine in your gut. I also get the spins/dizzy too with this. So far no difference in my sx if anything getting worse.

I have been talking Latuda for the past year. I am right now on 100 MG and i take it at night after eating 350 calories and I sleep afterwards.

I gained some weight on it but it does not increase my appetite. I am talking to myself and this started when I took Latuda.
Before that I was on Geodon and I used to laugh sometimes by myself. It might be my problem only.

They told me the side effect profile is better for latuda. Sorry if you’re experiencing some bad ones.

I actually found belching helps, thanks @Skims. It made me dizzy too, ugh.

I have my fingers crossed it doesn’t make me put on weight @sleepybug. Sorry to hear you’re experiencing some side effects.

Latuda made me throw up. I have been taking abilify since then.

it makes me feel like a dope

Sorry to hear that. Hope Abilify is working well for you. I’ve heard a lot about it. If I have to change again I’m going to ask about that one.

Risperidone did that to me, it will be interesting to see if latuda is the same.

Also wanted to note that I initially gained some weight due to eating a lot first thing in the morning and sometimes at lunch after being nauseous the past night or throwing up dinner. But I’ve seemed to neutralized the weight and dropped it, evened out the eating too. I get really vivid dreams every night. But they have all been good fuzzy ones unlike the ones I was getting with Trifalon which were bad, scary. But I don’t find it sedating at all which is a bummer cause I need something to help me sleep.

I felt really sleepy the first few days but then it went away after that. I did get a little dizzy and nauseous the first day but that went away later that day.

It’s better than geodon though which is a scourge

Thanks skims. I hope I don’t put on weight. Did it make you throw up a lot?

Just had crazy dreams last night and was wondering if it could be the latuda.
