Ladies: What beauty products do you use?

I don’t know if this is a topic worth starting, but I’m curious.

I’m just starting to explore cosmetic brands. I recently discovered Becca highlighter and NARS lip gloss. I use Lancome foundation and brow pencil and bought a Lancome makeup set that has all kinds of other goodies. Estee Lauder bronzer, eye shadow, blush, and mascara. Urban Decay setting spray.

For face wash, I use a Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Daily Cleanser for Sensitive Skin, Estee Lauder DayWear and NightWear moisturizers, and Advanced Night Repair Eye and Advanced Night Repair Sychronized Recovery Complex II. And I’m 33, for the record. I don’t have wrinkles, yet, but I’m trying to prevent them.

So tell me what you use. How well does it work? Spill the beans! I’m still testing the waters and figuring out what I like, so I’d love to hear what everyone else likes.

I use avene cleansing products and australis makeup. It might only be available in Australia.

I’m a guy but i thought it would always look cool to have my left pinky finger painted yellow or black or blue. Make me seem more edgy or something

For face wash I use Cetaphil and their facial moisturizer with spf in the summer. Right now its neutrogena salicylic acid moisturizer that smells like grapefruit.

I haven’t worn makeup in a while but my brands are Bare Minerals for face, clinique chubby sticks for lips and random NYX stuff. Being cheap the NYX is actually not bad. I have a set of elf brushes that are really soft, I was using the contouring set the most. I think I have maybellines contouring kit, I wanted the kat vonn d kit but couldn’t justify the price.

I had bought some expensive nail polishes at the pharmacy, some big name brand that were $12 a pot. But they kind of destroyed my nails. I’m using a nailbed moisturizer to heal.

I also started dry brushing my body. It exfoliates and feels pretty good.

I don’t wear makeup usually. When I do I have a palette for green eyes by Mary Kay I think it makes mine pop. The rest of the products I’m not picky about and will use anything. Honestly I’d like to experiment with makeup a little more but good stuff is so expensive

As for skin care I don’t do anything anymore but I used to use all kinds of products back when I had acne and very oily skin. Nothing worked…I tried all the popular brands, proactive, neutrogena, etc. Even tried a number of antibiotics, which either didn’t work or barely worked and then stopped working after a while. The big things that actually did wonders for my skin were birth control and accutane. My skin has been perfect since them, it’s like I never had acne at all. I tried quitting birth control once and after a while my skin began to get very oily again so I went back on.

However I heard oily skin is less likely to get wrinkles. My grandma had very oily skin and did not get any wrinkles until she was quite old, like her 70’s. So keep that in mind.

I only buy from companies that are cruelty free.

Elf is good makeup considering how cheap the price is and it also doesn’t test on animals.

Lime crime is another great makeup brand I buy from.

I just use whatever facewash I have once in a while and moisturize when I remember.

Too depressed to have an actual beauty regime.

Huda beauty do the best eyeshadow palettes, also cruelty free.

The rose gold palette is just :heart_eyes:

I have a good liquid eyeliner pen that’s lasted over half a year already. Stilla or something from Sephora. A good foundation is HD makeup or something but a bit pricey. Random lipstick tried urban decay and Clarins. I like trying new sample or sale colors. I got a new chocolate chip eyeshadow palette for Christmas but it’s not that strong. Some bright pink blush. This brow liner idk where from. Eyeliner and foundations are the main things, the other colors are just for fun.

I’m still deciding on a skincare regimen right now,

My skin is changing a little as I’m getting older, so its difficult to really commit (I’m also 33 so maybe I’ll try some of your ideas).

I don’t wear makeup all the time,

But I wear a lot of Benefit and Lancome.

well since I had that little spot of skin cancer I decided to get a moisturizer with SPF, I chose Oil of Olay because I remembered my Aunt used that her whole life, she’s 79 and barely has a wrinkle. As for makeup I just get what looks fun when I shop. I just signed up for Birchbox. They send you 5 beauty samples a month for $10.73. If you fall in love with something you can buy a full size from them. I adored my first box. I had a ton of fun with my 8 year old neighbor having her do my makeup for me and putting on a special moisturizing mask. I highly recommend it.

I admittedly don’t wear makeup a lot either, I just have a lot of it. I like having it. It makes me feel pretty to know it’s there if I want it.

I had ordered a NARS lip gloss color in Dolce Vita that arrived today, and I didn’t like it, so I’m going to return it. Instead, I went online and ordered Dior Lip gloss, Lip Tattoo in Natural Nude. I hope I like it. I did like the NARS lipgloss color in Orgasm. It is nice. I have fair skin, and it wasn’t too bold.

I use Arctic Fox hair color. I also really like Colorista bleach. It really sucks as an actual hair bleach, but it lightens your hair okay without drying it out, which is amazing. I can use 2-3 rounds of it to get my hair light enough and it’s still silky smooth. But I already have lightish hair to begin with. Probably wouldn’t work if you have naturally dark hair.

@LED My daughter uses Ion haircolor. She has dark hair, but she bleaches it. It really lasts. It’s blue, but it doesn’t fade. Looks good. What color do you dye yours?

this shower gel call body AXE has me freaking out because it is black out of the bottle and smells great but fades fast.

I have my son use Old Spice Fiji scented stuff- shampoo, body wash, deodorant. It’s discreet, but smells nice.

I tend to change it often. Right now it’s an emerald greenish color. I’m going blue next. Probably Sunday if I’m up to it.

@Happy_Heather I use Coastal Classic Creations. The Environmental Working Group’s Skin Deep Database rates it really well. It’s very low for toxins. And I love the products.

Olay face wash, day and night anti wrinkle cream and eye serum.

Olay facial toner also.

Their products suit my skin. I’ve tried others and it doesn’t go well. Occasionally I run out and use Nivea mosturisure. That’s good too.
