Lip gloss and pretty things

This is random, but Dior is the least sticky lip gloss I’ve found out of Estee Lauder, Lancome, Buxom, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Becca, and (as mentioned) Dior. I have two of their lip glosses, two tinted lip balms/ chapsticks, and one lip tattoo.

What makeup do you like?

Oh- my sister swears by Cover Girl, though. I got her to use one of the Dior tattoos, but otherwise, she’s all about Cover Girl.

That’s good to know! I’ve always found Lancôme Juicy Tubes to be ridiculously sticky… Not good on a windy day, lol.

I’m into eye stuff the most and I think Anastasia Beverly Hills takes the cake!

I just wear makeup from the grocery store, haha. I wear foundation and sometimes I wear mascara and eyeliner. I buy the “Fit Me Foundation” by Maybelline.

the FitMe foundation is supposed to be really good… is it more matte or dewy?

Have you ever tried Too Faced? It’s awesome for eye shadow! It smells delicious. I even have some of their sparkly stuff (highlighter, blush) for when I’m feeling young lol. Stila makes great waterproof felt-tip eyeliner, by the way. If you like Lancome but think Juicy Tubes are too sticky, they make plumping lip gloss. Buxom is plumping too, and they are great because they have over 100 colors in the sheer gloss alone, and I don’t know how many in the cream gloss.

@Blossom Nothing wrong with grocery store makeup. Loreal mascara is awesome! I like their telescopic one. Have you ever tried it?

Nope! That sounds cool, though! I’ll check it out next time I’m at Wally World.

Oooh TooFaced is awesome!! Their Chocolate Soleil bronzer smells so good! It’s got decent color payoff too. Their packaging is the best lol. Omg yes, Stila has great liquid liner. I actually own the brown one and the olive green one. The brown one is almost gone now so I just use it lightly on my brows to fill them in a little, surprisingly it works okay, lol. I will have to try the Lancôme Plumping gloss soon!

Oh and L’Oréal’s Voluminous mascara has been my go-to for years… They seriously make the best mascara out there in my opinion :slightly_smiling_face:

My favorite is l’oreal. I also like bobbi brown, and rimmel isnt bad. I think l’oreal makes really flattering colors. Bobbi brown is real expensive though.

Sorry to but in but I think it is time for me to share my favourite joke from when I was 5.

Why do girls wear makeup and perfume?
Because they are ugly and they smell!

L’oreal has great makeup. And they actually own a lot of the more expensive brands. If you like Bobbi Brown you could try estee lauder-- they actually own Bobbi Brown and make their cosmetics.

I have Bobbi Brown bronzer in a cute pinkish shade. I don’t have a lot of bronzers (5), and it was different, so I got it. That’s the only Bobbi Brown I have. Estee Lauder is my go-to, though.

For mascara, I ALWAYS use Little Black Primer by Estee Lauder. I’ve tried Dior and Lancome primers, and they don’t hold a candle to the Estee Lauder one. There is a big difference between using that primer and not… However, I hate Estee Lauder mascara. I discovered Wander brand mascara (thank you, Boxy Charm!)- specifically, their Unlashed- and it is amazing paired with the primer.

But seriously, if you don’t want to spend over $12 on mascara, give that L’oreal a try. I used it for years before switching to other brands because I became high maintenance. Oh gosh, I really am high maintenance!

The roller lash mascara is pretty good. Not that I wear makeup anymore except on special occasions. But, people say my hair looks nice and it’s because I put something in it to keep it tame after a shower!

I wanted to buy Estée Lauder double wear foundation and Estée Lauder blush but one I can’t afford it and two they test on animals and I’m becoming a ethical vegan so I will only be buying vegan makeup in the future is the plan .

I have max factor lipstick but they test on animals too.

I Used to get Lancôme mascara and biotherm have great body lotion I wanted to get but can’t afford and they test on animals.

The Body shop have some good eye shadows and they don’t test on animals.

I don’t think I will throw away makeup I already have but from now on I will probably just buy vegan makeup and products.

Expensive because as a ethical vegan I have to replace leather etc and I love feather art n clothes but that too is a no goer.

There is some really good vegan makeup around.

Most really famous makeup brands seem to do animal testing .
I was surprised and disappointed because it means as a vegan I can nolonger buy their products.

I would like to be better at applying makeup but have started to wear it almost every day even if it’s just mascara and lipstick some days.

I saw a old lady today and she was wearing such a beautiful coloured lipstick.
I noticed it just walking past her.

Testing on animals is an ugly truth in many industries, including cosmetics.
Urban Decay, Tarte, and Pacifica are three great cruelty-free brands that are fantastic to start with and they have some of the best stuff too!

I dont think i can contribute to this thread. I have never been much of a girly girl. I dont ever wear much make up. A mascara at best. No clue which brand, i just grabbed a random one.

Animal testing on cosmetics is forbidden here in the EU!

It is kind of funny to me…not meant at all in a mean way, just observing differences…that you see having 5 bronzers as little, while i have perhaps owned only 1 bronzer in my whole life!

I might experiment with make up a bit in the future!
