You know what they say about old people losing interest late in life… Something new and fresh could help get the juices flowing. Old hobbies still have the potential to be interesting but you have to break that barrier. If you do its only temporary. Maybe you have done all and been all and are just in a rut. No interest heh? I took my first walk in over a year because of a bad foot. I can breathe again and juicy, juice. Don’t give UP!
IDK. One of my favorite parts of my job is that the office building is on a large plot of land. There’s a huge parking lot and many green fields. When I park my car and I’m walking inside it is so peaceful and calm and quiet. It’s just something I enjoy and get pleasure from.
When I use to unload trucks at Sears for a living I got pleasure from lifting heavy objects (really). I was not intimidated all by heavy boxes or going to the second floor with a hand truck and bring a refrigerator or a washer or dryer down by myself and taking it outside and loading it in a customers pick-up truck. I had worked at HP for three years at a very physical job and when I got laid off and I went looking for another job I purposely looked for a job I could use my muscles. And so I ended up at Sears and after two or three months I was one of the best and fastest workers on the crew.
When I was young and first sick I replaced accomplishments created by my mind with accomplishments created by my psychical abilities. When my psychical abilities declined due to aging and too much weight gain I started to experience what you are going through. It’s the illness combined with aging basically.
