hot day today. random breakfast might not have been as wise to eat as i thought. think my body’s giving off heat, digesting it. sausage, eggs, pancakes with syrup. i’m not eating dinner, unless it’s a huge block of ice!
my room has a window that i can not open. a window is not a window if it can not open. all it’s doing is bringing hot light into the room. so i hung sweaters on the curtain to shield me from the hot sunlight. i think the sweaters will absorb the bulk of the heat well.
i can’t open my bedroom door now. but whenever i can, i will. i feel cooler when it’s open.
this laptop gives off heat, so i might have to abandon using it when i can’t leave my door open. either that or i can chill out on the veranda as suggested. but i’m not sure if it’s cooler out there, so i guess that option will be day-dependent
well i said no to dinner for now. will eat it later. feeling a lot more relieved now, skipping dinner. i can still feel the warm breakfast in my belly. i’ve tried resting on my back, which is uncomfortable, because if i rest on my belly, it will get warm. methinketh it’s still digesting the hot breakfast. but if i rest on my back, then my hind will get warm… for obvious reasons…
you know what, i think i’m going to take a walk. try to see if i can affect my digestive system with exercise and quicken it. i think exercise hastens metabolism or something. i don;t like walking in daylight, and i rather walk at night; but it can’t be helped right now.
If you are in a basement, make sure you put some effort into getting that window working, a friend of mine lost his daughter to a basement window she could not get out or opened (it was barred and not working) a fire had started and that was the only way out
A trick my Dad does is he puts a warm wet shirt on the kids when they have a fever. This will cool you down without making you shiver/get goosebumps like a cold wet shirt would.
don’t worry. my room has a back door, though it’s glued up and insulated cause of winter. in fact, the window had some plastic wrap on it for insulation too. i took it off just now. still can’t open the window else flies will get inside. this window doesn’t have any mesh or anything to stop them.
i took a walk. also, i got 2 rolls of toilet paper. 1 for backup i had enough for them, but some in pennies. so i quickly gave the change along with the 29 pennies to the cashier and swiftly left the store before the cashier even started counting. the funny thing is that i don’t think i needed to give all the pennies, but whatever. better safe than sorry anyways.
