Just want some advice

Just want some people to just talk to me and listen to me.

Whats up?

Say something.

Sup toad? Sch fifteen characters.

Ok I honestly don’t think I have schizophrenia but I just want to tell you what brought me here.
I have not been diagnosed as being a hypochondria but sometimes I feel I may be. E.g. A small stomach ache= me thinking I have appendicitis.
It might have something to do with that but not sure.
Anyway I have this thing, it doesn’t happen as much now but I would look at an object and go into a trans, I would kinda think OMG I’m actually alive and then I would get a funny feeling and feel refreshed.
That’s not all, my mind is very absorbent, things play on my mind way to much, something small can keep me in my room for ages.
I sometimes feel the need to be alone, one thing and I will like myself in my room.
I am a very social person, confident, outspoken, fun, I don’t see how I can want to be alone, I love spending time with the ones I love.
Also thins is what is worrying me, i will bet thinking about e.g an attractive guy and the word rape will pop into my mind, I can controls my thoughts and they only happen if I think about those thoughts. Like I think them.
I also repeat my self a lot, I constantly reassure myself of different things.

I’m 13 and just want someone to talk as well as listen.

Please! Someone?

Lots of stuff here that could be prodromal (see Schizophrenia - Definition, Symptoms, and Causes), which – if you get to a board-certified psychiatrist now (rather than later on) – could play a major role in how things progress.

If your parents are chill and cooperative, tell them about what you’ve told us, and have them help get you to competent medical help. If your parents are not so cool, I recommend seeing a counselor at your school. There’s a lot that can be done at the prodromal stage to change the trajectory of sz (IF, indeed, you’re set up to go florid) with both meds and psychotherapy. Explore the threads on this forum to get a handle on that.

Are you male or female, btw?

I am a female.

Wbu? How old are you?
And what do you think this could be.

I’ve flagged this thread for moderator attention due to your young age, so stand by…

Male. Old enough to be your grandfather, probably. As stated above, possibly prodromal, based on the clues I quoted.

Do you experience anxiety pretty much all the time?

Yeah; good idea.

I get stressed easily and claustrophobic in crowds

My question. Do you think I have schizophrenia?

Cause my mom worries a lot and things play on her mind so I guess I get that from her.
And honestly I think I’m a hypochondria.

If its bothering you - talk to your parents and see if they can take you to an early psychosis treatment center for a full evaluation. This should put your mind at ease:

I cannot afford to think anything from this distance (and this little knowledge). But I do see the possibility that you may be in the prodromal phase of something that might or might not be genetically predisposed sz.

Having the mom you describe might be a factor in the stress you describe. You may not be able to trade her in for a better model, but the fact that you can see, hear and feel her anxiety as her anxiety (and not yours) may help a lot. Contrary to a lot of BS in the common culture, children are not responsible for their parents’ thoughts, emotional states or behavior.

Do you have a father at home? What is he like? Can you enlist him to help you in your quest for professional assistance?

Hypochondria is an anxiety disorder - just like “worrying a lot” is an anxiety disorder. Both you and your mother would probably benefit from some help from a psychologist in this area - and it will make both of your lives much better.

Happyfrogs,

I recommend you watch these videos. It will help you understand where these health worries (hypochondria) comes from and how to stop it:

This is a video focused on health worries and how cognitive behavioral therapy (psycho-therapy) can help you correct it:

Here is another video that you might watch and also share with your mother:
