Anyone with success on this one? As usual im nervous about taking it. I have severe ocd, anxiety and possible schizoaffective. I also take zoloft.
Haldol is spectacular, that is, it works fast, particularly by injection.
I had severe Dsytonia as a side effect when I took Haldol. My legs felt like they had lead in them, that is.
Help pos/neg symptoms?
Haldol is a miracle drug!
Excellent for positive symptoms.
Was a good med for my anxiety also.

I take haldol and it works for me for the most part. I still here voices. When I first started taking it I heard nothing. Great drug in my opinion.
Had the haldol injection and it worked well with all my symptoms, made me feel like I had to move constantly though.
Haldol worked great for my psychosis and didn’t cause weight gain. However, I became allergic to it and had to go off
I would like to try it but I am stable and working full time so I am afraid to experiment but I can tell you that a shot of that and some Ativan at the hospital had me feeling the best I have ever felt while sick. It took a few days for the psychosis to go away still but 3 or 4 days later and I felt great for a short while. Once I got back stable on Geodon though the blah all came back.

I got haldol once in a shot, really helped my voices. But my Pdoc doesn’t want me on it for some reason. I’ve heard of a shortage
I’m amazed at all these people saying how wonderful Haldol is. That drug was nothing but a misery for me. Being on Haldol isn’t real life to me. It’s like earthworm life, where everything is blah. The Russians use Haldol to torture mental patients. I think they give them really huge doses, though. Geodon was a Godsend for me. For some people Geodon is The Answer.
What can I say Haldol is the best, no hallucinations, works fast. If I have psychosis I go to the emergency room and ask for Haldol. But my doctors want me on new generation aps so that’s not what I take. You’re lucky.
Well if they ever put me on Haldol I will be happy to donate all my supply to those who want it.

Sorry to hear the bad experiences on Haldol. It was OK for me, really took the edge off my chronic headache at 1-2 mg.

How long were you stable on it?
I dont know if im lucky as i was just perscribed it hoping to work… did it help delusions for you?

not really, but I didn’t have any blatant ones going at that time
