I’m so sorry. I had to do this with my cat two years ago. Even though it was the right thing to do, it took a long long time to come to terms with it. My heart goes out to you.

Do you remember how I said my dad was diagnosed with depression? He was just starting to get better, now that he was seeing his doctors and getting the help he needed.
Was the first time i’ve ever heard him crying. He’s a war veteran, broke his back and shoulder in a vehicle roll accident while he was deployed. That’s what his depression is linked to.
Now it’s all out the window. I’m going dog shopping for a christmas present tomorrow.

I’m sorry! I’ve had two cats and a dog put to sleep because of illness. The dog was 14 years though. They are our best buddies. It hurts tonnes but it is our responsibility to not let them suffer.
Bright memories will survive the grief. Sending hugs if you want them.

My cats were 6 years old. The first one became terrified of everything and started to attack us. The other one had chronic pancreatitis and forl. He was in so much pain. Could not eat and vomited everywhere.

Oh I’m so sorry for your loss @MisterWaffles, I lost my dog and my cat too, my dog to old age and my cat to cancer, it was heartbreaking. A new puppie is a good choice.
