Just joined and saying hello!

Hi All,

As the topic says I am new to the forum. I have been meaning to make an account for a while now but had to get it together and sign up. I am a 30 year old male and have a diagnosis of Sz. I am stable now after 6-7 years since my first episode and admission, but still suffering from some motivation issues and get very fatigued at times although not sure whether this is entirely related. I don’t have many other symptoms now which I am thankful for.

I have been here and read some of the posts and have already decided it looks like a good place to find other like minded people and understand a lot of what I have read about this illness on a personal level. I know some of you understand what is like in this world where a lot of people don’t have much idea at all. I hope to share more and join in here more. Anyway, just saying hello from Australia.

I have lots more I could say about myself, but will surely get to say more as time goes on.
I hope everyone is doing well and look forward to getting to know you all.

Hi! Welcome to the forum! I’m from Australia too.

Thanks everyone fro the replies! I am glad to hear from you all!

Sarah and turtle It is good to hear from two fellow Australians. It is really warm where I am today, don’t know about you, but Im enjoying the summer more this year than previous years!

@Anna Thanks Anna, I know what you mean, I think I mostly suffer from Negative symptoms now which i think is more common in males. I would love to know how some other people deal with them. With the fatigue I need about 10 hours sleep a day and still feel tired some days. I found out that sleeping like this was pretty normal from reading this forum as not many professionals I have spoken to really want to acknowledge it as an issue, but it is. I can cope on less sleep for a day or two but that is the most. When I say not sure if its related, I also have another issue that could add to the fatigue, but pretty sure the sz is contributing

Thanks for the welcome

Yep, it’s hot in Melbourne today too.

Welcome to the site

@anon84763962 I’m a little down the road from Melbourne in a country area. I don’t want to name the town but it is a small/medium sized down. Its a bit isolated (or insulated) from other places. I lived in Melbourne for a while a few years ago. Its one of the better cities in Australia.
