Just got prescribed trazodone 100 mg anybody take this

i just got prescribed 100 mg trazadone and got my geodon raised from 20 mg to 60 mg twice a day. does anybody take trazodone what should i expect i am hoping it will allow me to get some sleep i tried to cut a pill in half with a knife along the lines and it didnt work too well i was planning on just taking 50 mg but i guess im taking 100 since i don’t know how to make this half

I was prescribed 50mg tabs 6 months ago for insomnia. It didn’t work for me. Not even 3 tabs (150mg)
To be fair, though, it wasn’t regular insomnia. I was having a bad reaction to a new med. Horrible. Didn’t sleep for days.

Yes I take it 100mg put’s me right to sleep.

did it work the first night or take a few days to work I took an 100 mg and got tired and slept for an hour now I’m back awake

Yes it did work the first night I wake up a couple of times per night
But I am able to go back to sleep

For me what works for cutting pills is not a knife but a box-cutter. Be careful with trazodone, some people get dependent on it after using it steadily, withdrawal from trazodone is tough. I used to take 50-100mg for sleep and it seemed to do me well, then again it didn’t feel like it was doing anything most of the time. Trazodone can treat negative symptoms, several studies have been done on it.Your dose for Geodon has increased significantly, you are almost on the highest dose. Hopefully it helps you, when I was on it it wasn’t strong enough for my positive symptoms.

I’ve taken up to 150mgs for insomnia. Don’t need it anymore, I just smoke weed to sleep

I tried up to 200mg. Didn’t help me sleep Tried Remoron too. Same deal.

I take 3mg of Lunesta and sleep like a baby.

When I was on trazadone it helped get me to sleep but id wake up a few hours later and have to take another dose.

I take 100 mg of Trazodone. It helps me sleep.

I take 200 mg of trazodone helps me go to sleep and stay asleep. But when I was on 100 mg I always woke up 2 or 3 times a night. I’m also on 2 sleeping pills so I must have some form of insomnia

I have a rx for 50mg. It didn’t do anything for me but, at the time, I had horrible insomnia from a med change. It may work now if I tried it again. I take trileptal (a mood stabilizer) to help me sleep

I was given trazodone the last night of my last hospital stay, and I slept well that night. In a hospital is the only time I have trouble sleeping. They had been giving me Restoril (temazepam) the nights prior to that, but I imagine they didn’t want me to develop a dependence. I don’t know which strength of trazodone or Restoril I was being given, though.

I took if for about 2 years. sometimes it worked and other times I was too manic for the med to work.

i used to take zolpidem …now i dont need it…!!!

that’s good, I was prescribed clonidine and amitriptyline for sleep and the amitriptyline doubles as an anti depressant

nothing much watching suicide squad again. I love the DC universe don’t get me wrong I like marvel. I have been a batman fan since I was 5 and got a picture of me with batman (really just some guy dressed up in batman gear) how are you?

i am good cbb …!!! i will take nap after 30 min… i past my whole day searching for a cure to negative symptoms…we have to wait a longer time …!!!
