Trazodone 100 mg

My doc put me on trazodone 100 mg tab to help sleep. Have they worked for you? I hope they work for me cause i only sleep 2 to 3 hours a night

Didn’t do anything for me. But it works for some. I take 3 mg of Lunesta.

ITS an anti depressant not a sleep aide…i used to be on zolpidem …i slept niece …!!!
my New doc cut it off he does n;t prescribed me any zopidem …i cant sleep now…
2moro is my appointment …i will convince him…

I was prescribed trazedone when I was taken off of closaril/clozapine. I took 300mg of clozapine so they put me on 300mg of trazedone. It worked great. I was tired in about 30 min to an hour.

i know its anti depressant but people use it use it to help them sleep. I am sorry the doc took you off your zolpodem hopefully you can get back on it cause not sleeping sucks

I took the smallest dose of trazadone for sleep. It worked except when I was under stress. I felt sedated and sleepy in the morning after I woke up. The morning sedation made me self-conscious.

I take 150 mg of trazodone to sleep. I don’t know if it works or not. I have started to sleep 8-9 hours a night but I don’t know if that is because of the trazodone. It doesn’t make me drowsy or anything even though it did about a year or two ago.

I had really bad insomnia for awhile. I was prescribed 100mg Trazadone. It did nothing for me. Oddly, what helps me sleep is Trileptal, a mood stabilizer. I was originally prescribed it for bipolar but when my dx was changed I was kept on it anyway because it helps me sleep. I take 1.5 mg Risperidone and 1200mg Trileptal and I am able to sleep. I have a hx of insomnia too.

The last time I had trazodone was when I was in a hospital, and I slept great. It’s hard to say, though, how much of that was from the trazodone and how much was from the Librium I was being given 2 or 3 times a day. I normally have a hell of a time sleeping in hospitals.

It only worked for me when I took it with Ativan. Also be wary of getting up too fast because if I stood up too fast after waking up while on that I would have seizure like episodes and pass out.
