Just Diagnosed SZA due to TBI?

Got diagnosed recently, as in recently Yesterday. They were suprised at my IOP that I didnt know I was schizoaffective already. I was kind of relieved that it wasnt all in my head or more that it really was. The most puzzling thing though was that My Doc told me it was due to a concussion I had sustained. I thought the whole time I just had post concussion, but now the periods of improvement and then nose diving are coming together. Has anyone here had this experience with a concussion?

Ive had a few concussions. Don’t know if it had anything to do with my SZ.

I had a really bad concussion about a year after being diagnosed. It made my symptoms much worse, and gave me an anxiety disorder. Concussions suck.

Head trauma can cause other symptoms as well. Something known as frontal lobe syndrome can cause problems with impassivity and disinhibition. Often, someone called a functional neurologist can perform a battery of tests to obtain a better picture of a person’s abilities and their deficits.

Some articles have suggested negative symptoms are the same as FLS

Brain trauma is a significant risk factor for developing schizophrenia.
