Just an update

Heya folks.
Things have been good last 4 months. Its kind of wild honestly. I havent had any mood episodes, no psychosis or random glitches, no intrusive images/thoughts. Im just calm and engaged with my environment.
Im legit Level headed, the longest ive been in 15 years.

The only med i take is ritalin ir and concerta for adhd right now which ill probably take indefinitely as it works really well for it for me. I just take a 36mg concerta in morning then add 5mg up to 4 times a day where needed depending how long my day is as a buffer.

I have abilify if things end up going sideways that my pdoc said to add on if I get mood symptoms returning or psychosis.

I still struggle to be productive at work so thats slow progress but I got way nore organized and learned how to plan.

Daily tasks around personal life improved as well.

My pdoc was quite happy with my stability and improvement and also that we found a med that improved my general functioning.
One thing we thought about was possibly all those transcranial magnetic therapy treatments i did caused some sort of brain plasticity changes over the longterm. Who knows. I did around 100 treatments at a research facility.

So although im vigilant about symptoms returning as ive always been hypervigilant about it for keeping insight best I can, I am optomistic about the future.

Ive been learning a lot about treating executive dysfunction, learning about ai tools and how to apply them for fun and for business stuff, and ive recently been getting back into sim racing for fun.

I might not be on the forum as much but ill def pop my head in. Just a bit busier these days.

My pdoc asked me if I ever shared my experiences with psychosis with anyone and i said yes ive contributed to a forum and its also been great for me too for relating to what others have been through. We talked about how patients dont really know anyone else thats dealing with psychosis in ‘real life’ because it just doesnt get talked about due to stigma or whatever.

Anyhoo just thought id write an update.

Cheers
Level

My friend has ADHD and bipolar but he’s only on Ritalin. He said he can manage his bipolar without meds just like you. I am tempted to ask him to give me some of his Ritalin lol just kidding it will make me psychotic according to my pdoc

I read Adderall increases muscle power and weight lifting, some bodybuilders and athletes take it illegally eventhough its considered doping and cheating like in Olympics where they get tested for doping and performance boosters.

Since ive been taking it ive been less motivated to exercise. I seem to be gravitated towards more mentally stimulating activity. So now exercise is a bit more forced.

Glad to read you’re doing so well.

I would love to be in the same position.

Still doing great with no real symptoms. Just plugging away at life, working on the behaviorial issues and habits component.
