I was not real thrilled with Joquin Phoenix’s version of the joker. I found that movie quite forgettable. I’m seriuous, I was so bored that I can barely remember it.
What I do remember is that the movie wasn’t really about the DC comics joker. It was more about some unhinged guy who kills a talk show host and proceeds to wear clown makeup.
Heath Ledgers version was much better and the Batman movie he was in, “The Dark Knight” I believe, was also 1000 times better than these new “Joker” movies.

I loathed the first movie.
Failed attempt to make another Taxi Driver like classic.
Just pretentious and hollow.

The way that movie ended, there can’t be a sequel. That was one of those movies with an ending like that. Very rare but I predict much less success for a sequel. I do agree it deserved the respect and praise it got though as a self contained movie.
Say what you want about it but it put a comic book movie in a format that was eligible for oscars. Most of them are automatically ineligible, so kudos.
