One of the main reasons I want to find a job is to give me something to do. I get so bored here at home and I think it adds to my depression negatively. Anyone feel the same?
Yes. I desperately want to be able to go back to work.
I feel you man! @LED
I went back to work. It keeps me busy.
Good for you @TomCat what job do you have?
I work for the government. I collect taxes. It is kind of complicated but I am learning. Lots of paperwork.
Sounds like a decent paying job man! @TomCat
The pay is ok. If I make it through the first year I get a nice little raise. Looking forward to it actually.
@TomCat good stuff. I hope you make it ( I know you will )
Yep sigh it sucks not having a job
Agreed @Twialine
@TheCanuk if you ever wanna talk or get bored and wanna talk to someone feel free to say hi ^.^
Absolutely. A job gives you purpose which according to the schizophrenia society is one of four things required for recovery.
I wish I could work or volunteer. The agoraphobia and my inconsistency keeps me from it. I hope you can do this! It would be so rewarding.
You’ll be able to do it one day, I believe in you! @JustTrish
@anon99233869 sick profile pic! And agreed
I was off work for about six years. I recently got a job about a month ago that a really like. It’s only two days a week so I can stay on disability. But it’s something to do.
Its more about the money for me but that too.
Congrats @rileyk86
And money is important, I understand @Jonnybegood
My volunteer job does wonders for making me less bored. I go for four hour shifts twice a week and I look forward to it. I’m hoping to find a full-time job soon. I have WAY too much time on my hands now that I am not sleeping for 14-16 hours a day on a mega-dose of Haldol! Now I read up to 12-14 hours a day!
