I’m on indeed everyday sending my resume to some many jobs is getting ridicoulous I honestly don’t know what to do anymore my stress level is so high and all I think about is how bad I want a drink. been sober for almost 6 months
Oh, please don’t break your sobriety! Finding a job is a job in itself. Not worth ruining your sobriety over. Please don’t take even a sip. It’s not worth it. I believe in you.
I really don’t want to ruin my sobriety I’ve worked really hard to get where i’m at. Its just been so damn difficult and ■■■■■■■ stressed out that the cravings are getting stronger.
Fight the cravings. Go to more AA meetings if you have to. Do anything but drink.
I stopped going to AA I’ve had bad experiences from it so I stay away. I’m just going to try and drink more coffee and have a cigg

Try craigslist or an employment agency. I sent out like 10 resumes through one employment agency website yesterday just by flipping through and expressing interest in jobs I liked. Easier to try part time or seasonal jobs if you don’t have much experience. Or government jobs. Lots of tax places hiring right now for the tax season.

Maybe set an alarm to start at 8am and quit at 5 pm?
You can totally stop thinking about it after 5pm
This would allow you more balance. That time could be used as leisure time. You still need some fun time. It could restore your mental outlook and refresh your mind.
Dont get discouraged. Even during the reccession people would say it is almost like a numbers game.
Just keep going. If it has been a while since you put in a resume then send a thank you note. Make it short just thanking them for reading your resume. There are xamples of these notes on the internet.
People use them to remind employers they are still available. It may also be helpful if they didnt state a close date (when they would make their decision about who to pick)
