I've lost 6kg (13lb) so far on my calorie controlled diet

I’m finding it quite easy this time for some reason. :tada:

If I can lose another 6kg I’d still be a bit overweight but I’d probably be much happier with the way I looked.

it’s not though, people lose and then gain again

you’ve got to do strict exercise and light snacks through the day

to boost your metabolism.

Well done @everhopeful. 6 kg is no small feat by any stretch of the imagination. Keep it up! I must admit, i’m a little envious. I’ve been trying to lose weight by running. I can now run 3.5 km non-stop but so far, not a damn thing has budged on the scales. I may have to go on a strict calorie controlled diet like you.

Yeah good work. I’m getting down low and not quite there yet. Need to adjust some eating habits. It’s all a mess at the moment with mum sick but I’m almost to the magical under 100kg barrier! That would be a great thing for me!

Very good. There’s one problem with dieting. You can’t quit.

@everhopeful Well done. How do you count the calories? Do you weigh everything and then use a calorie calculator?.

I have an app on my smartphone to record the calories as i consume them.

The way it works is : The calories are written on everything these days. So I enter the calories per 100g into my app just once. Then when I eat something i tell the app how many grams I’ve had. It does the rest.

A good calorie counting app will let you enter calories per meal once so everytime you have the same meal you just tap a button to get it to count the entire meal.

But it’s possible to do this all on paper it’s just offputting to do so.

I’d find that very difficult. I’d be wanting to know precisely how many grams of everything I’d had so as to get a totally accurate calorie count.
