It's not fair

It’s not fair that I’m incredibly sleepy during the day and then can’t sleep at night. I’ve been way, way more sleepy than normal for the past week or so. It is an actual challenge to stay awake. It hasn’t been this bad since this past summer. I don’t know if my meds are setting this off or it’s just my brain being unpleasant again, since I have experienced this sleepiness before. Anyways it’s driving me nuts because I can’t focus in class or on my schoolwork, lab work, or anything.

Perhaps a coffee or energy drink mid-morning might be the answer?

Ive been taking sleep walkers on my horrible tired days…idk whats in it but wow…its like an energy shot and mood enhancer…it doesnt make you jittery i can focus and it helps produce melatonin…i feel happy and useful on it…i wouldnt recommend taking it everyday but i enjoy the once a week or so i take one and sleep like a baby that night…

It takes me an energy drink to feel normal. Drinking an energy drink every day is very unhealthy.

Yup. I was worried I had narcolepsy or something at one point.

I’ve also been having very vivid lucid dreams lately so maybe that’s why I’ve been so tired. My brain isn’t really resting.

Maybe try to force yourself not to nap during the day? I’m one to talk, I nap several times a day. but I also take a sleep aid (trazadone).

That feels impossible ;_; I literally cannot stay awake

You switched day for night.
I used to be a night owl years ago.
Then you get tired during day.

Make your self stay up during the day and get to bed the same time every night.

I don’t nap long periods of time usually, the most I’d let myself sleep during the day is a few hours

Well don’t nap at all during the day and you’ll sleep better at night.

Unless you’re taking night classes, get to bed early then wake up and go to classes early. Then study in the afternoon, get dinner, study more and then you’re tired enough to sleep and keep on a schedule. :grinning:

Tell your doc, maybe you need a med adjustment.

I dont know where you gals are at but on the news things are going bad

are body are funny we have to sleep to get it to repair its self, you may need little or a hell of a lot. but in the end it is your self. that make the choice.

Pl do try waking up very early in the morning…if you do this like 2 times you may get sleep in the night. Essentially the body needs 6-8 hrs of sleep to replenish itself…some people like to work in the day and others in the night…I too am a night owl…unfortunately the society does not work that way…so u may have to make some adjustments.
