Just curious is vraylar more effective than abilify?
According to studies Abilify is more effective. But there are also differences that depend on each person. Olanzapine is said to be as effective as my risperidone but it did nothing for my psychosis, it was even weaker than Abilify.
That’s hard to say, But there was a sub group in the study that had a greater response to negative symptoms and for this reason the company behind Vraylar tried to get it FDA approved as the first antipsychotics ever for the treatment of primary negative symptoms.
Response is individually. For one person Abilify is best for another Vraylar is better and Visa versa.
Warning.
Abilify has been linked to compulsive gambling
Hyper sexuality
Bench eating
And compulsive shopping
I don’t know but without knowing the science behind I guess that it goes for Vraylar aswell.
Vraylar was much more activating for me than Abilify.
Being on Vraylar landed me in the psych hospital for over a month
Everyone’s reaction is different
wave I to the fully extend understand your issues with activating meds because I was on the very very activating drug Ziprasidone - Geodon - Zeldox for 20’years.
The 700 mg Qutiapine work exactly upperset of Ziprasidone. Q works very calming, relaxing. I’ll say that it works like a quiet joy ride.
Vraylar for me made me so numb inside that I snapped and went to the hospital it wasn’t a good med for me either
