I take Vraylar. It gives me energy and helps with depression. Doesn’t cure negative symptoms.

Although the FDA rejected Vraylar for Negative symptoms, I found Vraylar to be very effective for my Negatives like lack of motivation and lack of pleasure.
In the end it wasn’t the right medication for me but it could be the right one for you.

In my case it was more activating than Abilify.

Yes, I like Vraylar better than Abiliy.

I still have negative symptoms. I guess I just have a milder case?

It helped with my Negative symptoms, but I found it to be very stimulating.
I had to quit taking it because of the high anxiety it gave me.

Besides, it didn’t control my positive symptoms.

At first, I remember Vraylar gave me anxiety but I got acclimated to it. I remember having worse anxiety on Invega.

I had similar restlessness on Abilify. Vraylar is quite activating but I have depressive type so it’s kind of nice for me.

Vraylar has really helped me with my positive symptoms, more than Risperdal or any other medication I’ve tried (except maybe Clozaril but I wasn’t on it that long to really know!). The worst med for my positive symptoms was Latuda. I seriously thought it was a sugar pill lol.

Me too! I thought Latuda was a sugar pill. I have less side effects on Vraylar than I did on Abilify. I was more sedated on Abilify.

Well I am schizoaffective and I don’t think I suffer too badly from negative symptoms. I was more lethargic on Abilify. I am less socially withdrawn on Vraylar. I definately notice that Vraylar works for my positive symptoms. I recommend Vraylar though. I feel better than I have on any other AP that I have tried. Hope this helps!
