Is this too much medication?

I am currently on 20 mg Latuda, 5 mg lexapro, 300 mg Wellbutrin, 100 mg atenolol, and 10 mg evekeo, I want to ask my pdoc for a benzo to help with the after effects of the evekeo but I’m afraid it’ll be too much or that she’ll take me off the evekeo. Anyone on a lot of meds like this?

Why are you in the evekeo? If you’re needing a benzo to deal with it you’re dose could be too high. It also could be causing your psychotic symptoms to be worse.

Yeah I’m questioning why you are on an amphetamine.
This combined with the Antidepressant might be too much.
I would have a discussion with your doctor about it.

I can tell that your dose of Latuda is really low, it is certainly not too much Latuda,
possibly too little.

My doctor put me on Latuda but not taking it because it’s so expensive and my insurance does not cover it. But I take Clozaril, Busbar, and Clonazepam.

I’m on the evekeo to help me get through school, I like it it’s just at the end of the day I feel like a zombie. I haven’t had any psychotic symptoms since my episode this last September so so far so good. I am concerned that maybe the combo with evekeo is giving me the zombie feeling though

I’m not familiar with evekeo, but I find it hard to understand why any doctor would prescribe a stimulant and on top of that, another med to counteract the effects.
To be honest, I would talk to your parents or another doctor or health-care professional.
That type of over-prescribing and overall carelessness seems to be a red flag that your current doctor is either incompetent or is simply not behaving in an appropriate manner for some unknown reason.

5 meds is a lot. Consider switching one of your current meds. I read somewhere 5 is the limit, 3 meds is what typically people are on nowadays.

That’s a very arbitrary number. Maybe 5 meds for the same condition is too many, but if you have multiple ailments, putting an arbitrary limit on the number of meds you should take could be dangerous.

Sorry I wasn’t being specific. I meant 5 meds for one condition, not multiple.
