I have orthostatic hypotension due to my serotonin reuptake inhibitor which is blood pressure drop when you get up from a chair for example. do you get that? Trazodone has this side effect.

No, I have no side effects from Trazodone. I’m on a 75mg. 50mg in the morning and 25mg in the evening

Grapefruit juice due to its action on a liver enzyme this liver enzyme slow working so to say or no work at all makes the metabolization of trazodone slower. Don’t take grapefruit juice.

Grape juice is forbidden for me. I am on Lurasidone (Latuda) which is metabolized by the CYP3A4 enzyme. Grapefruit binds to that enzyme preventing my body from metabolizing Lurasidone, that could lead to an increase of Lurasidone in my blood, and worst case scenario, lead to death (although unlikely because I am on a fairly low dose of Lurasidone, 60mg). I didn’t know grapefruit juice could also affect the metabolization ofTrazodone, good to know, thanks.
