Is this Common for Sz?

I have SzA, not Sz so I’m just curious. For me my psychosis is episodic. I always have a little paranoia all the time even when medicated but my really bad psychotic symptoms will go away for many months or even a couple years and then come back terrible. Is that common for Sz as well or is Sz pretty much constant? I’ve never known anyone irl who had Sz (that I know of) so I don’t really have anyone to ask.

I’ve got SZ, been stable for about 2.5 years. I hope my psychosis never comes back. Do you find your symptoms are stress related?

Stress makes it way worse, for sure. But sometimes it doesn’t seem to matter.

I did this poll, but I’m not sure how relevant it is to this thread. But a lot of people have been stable for quite a while. (it includes sz and sza)

Staying stable has soooo much to do with one’s environment. I think I’m stable for good now unless my environment has to change. I haven’t been hospitalized for 8 1/2 years.

The attitude towards environment and its changes is vital, e.g. how we react to changes and how we cope with stress.
