I’m guessing it’s the negative symptoms of the illness, for me they got better over time but I had to be persistent. Maybe therapy can help you. There is no cure for sz my friend…

There were several meds that helped me with my lack of motivation or avolition. Abilify was the best. Seroquel causes sedation, but oddly enough, gave me some motivation the next day. Trazodone does the same for me. These are just personal observations, but they gave me hope. Talk to your doctor.

I actually try to reinforce myself to be apathetic because I actually get adversely affected physically if my anger gets out of control.

It can cause one to feel a little too amped up or have some anxiety. Minor weight gain comparative to other ap’s. Your individual results will be different possibly.

Omega 3 fish oil soft gel and phosphatidylserine soy version reduces apathy. Try it.
