My therapist suggested looking into it. I thought I couldn’t and keep my benefits. Is that true?
I worked for 9 months This past year on ssdi.
I was told you can make as much as you can for 9 months because you have a work trial evaluation period. (That wasn’t why I stopped working after 9 months) but after that you can make up to like $1300 or something per month and still keep your benefits.
You should call up a work-benefits-counselor to guide you through this process. Not sure their exact title. Although mine mislead me with information applicable to ssi, not ssdi. And it screwed me up. But hopefully you get a better counselor than I do!
That’s what you need, a knowledgeable person.
I’ve been broken since 5th grade.
I’m Curious, @77nick77 ,
What Does The Number ‘77’ Mean to You in Your Screen Name Here on Thus Forum?.
I’ve been asked this a few times. They’re just random numbers I picked out of the blue, they have no significance. It could just as easily have been “55nick55” or “99nick99”. But I actually think 77nick77 is the best.
One time entering the psych ward they weighed me. 77.7 kg
I said. Hey better than 66.6. She said yeah we don’t want that.
I said “yeah 77.7 is jackpot. I’m a winner!!” And she gave me a dirty look.
I swear some people have no fun.
From what i understood of you make “too much” money (ie barely enough to survive) you lose your benefits. But yes i know someone on disability who works part time.
