Is there a way to calm anger?

Are there any supplements that can calm anger ?
I read about Amyloban hericium erinaceus, does it help ?
I also take Omega3. It doesn’t help that much from my experience.
I take Olanzapine.

I’m also on olanzapine.

I think a main factor in promoting calmness is self respect. You have to live your life in a way you can respect yourself. It simply means to do things that promote wellbeing like excersise, pursuing hobbies, staying active etcetera, and avoid things that put you off balance like for instance substance abuse or other things that make you feel bad inside.

As for supplements there are some that can help mood like for instance turmeric, vitamin D and rhodiola rosea to mention a few.

But supplements alone won’t help. You have to put in the work to break bad habits and form new good habits.

In my men’s group we decided when one man was angry with another man in the group, what he wanted was to get closer to the man.

100 mg of Seroquel every night calmed me down and eliminated all my anger issues. It turned me into a totally different person.

My psych clinic does anger management therapy. I really don’t think any pills or supplements will help anger issues. It’s something your own mind generates.

In my case, it did because my anger was mania based so, Seroquel worked against it. @ElGato

More like something my sz mind generates for me. My anger issues started with my sz symptoms, only sz meds helped.

I had some severe anger issues. A mood stabilizer helped in the short term. Therapy helped in the long term and I no longer need medications for anger management.

I understand what you mean. I was really angry too when I was unmedicated. My anger goes away when I’m medicated.

Same for me, I found out that the cause of my anger issues was my paranoia of others. Once I got rid of the paranoia with meds my anger issues disappeared.

I was wondering if they help but I don’t think they will in my case as the anger is paranoia induced. APs work well for me.

A long time ago I had taken chamomile supplements and that helped with anger.

I would think it can’t hurt to try, Calming yourself down can reduce agitation and agression no matter how your anger is induced.
