I think an uncle of mine had bipolar but I’m not sure. Other than that there’s nothing in our family tree.

My uncle is Schizophrenic. He stays in a psychiatric care home. I also have 2 cousins who have had psychoses. Also, the aunt of my dad stayed her entire life in a psychiatric facility. The uncle of my dad also had a psychosis when he was young. Psychoses everywhere.

Many members of my family, immediate and distant, have depression and anxiety. I also have a couple family members with OCD. One cousin of mine may have sz.

nope, im the only one, all the alcoholics in the family think im mentally ill but i wonder if they don’t have some issues themselves. dad is a bit of paranoid right wing conspiracy guy, i sometimes suspect he has mental illness as well, but he doesn’t drink. im not a doctor though, hard to say,

My grandmother on my moms side spent a year in a mental hospital back in the 1940’s or 1950’s. The doctors called it a “nervous breakdown” but back then a nervous breakdown was kind of an umbrella diagnosis that covered a lot of different mental illnesses.

My grandfather had a lot of money and the hospital was a very nice, upscale hospital where my grandmother spent the days relaxing and playing the piano.

I believe there is but it was not confirmed because it was cases in a developing country and facilities and practice was not such.
