I’m not everybody and I can tell you I’m not easily offended, and of course I haven’t flagged the post. That said, I think it’s naive to pretend that the choice of joke is somehow context free, when it is precisely the context and the community of meaning that makes the joke funny or not in the first place. And your joke calls for the complicity of the reader. Do you draw a line you would never cross? I’m sure you do, I mean, would you throw bananas at black people just because you thought it was funny, and then feign surprise at people getting offended?
