i have a few business ideas, nothing revolutionary, they are kind of copycat ideas, where i would have to be in the right location. anyways i doubt i will ever try to start my own business, unless it’s just growing things on a homestead. i want the money, but don’t want to do payroll and everything else. realistically, how much money can going into business for yourself bring you?
some of my business ideas, are a homestead growing flowers, a bicycle shop, a landscape nursery, a smoothie place, and a restaurant. mom says a restaurant would be my worst nightmare haha.
Smoothies would be legitness-- you could source your ingredients from surrounding farms and name the combos all fun things. Maybe even add “boosters” like protein powder and stuff.
If I get justice I am owed big money in composation anything over 500’000 will do
it really depends what you got to offer. Franchise is one of the safest and quickest options. Another safe options can be like a cafe or a kebab shop also a beauty salon. But in most cases towns and cities are already stuffed with them.
I am looking at a franchise right now.
I don’t think I will be able to get a loan though. We will see.
Ya, if you know how to do it and be successful. Not many people can really do it.
Some people like my step-father live in the past and think they got something special going on when they don’t. I look at him and just feel bad for him. It’s pathethic sometimes.
You can work at Google and make 150k + benefits or be self-employed and make that in a month.
A lot of businesses fail and few profit or make it past year 3
Depends on the business and how good you are at running one. I own a photo studio and a DJ business. They’re both shut down thanks to COVID, so good thing for my day job. We own some homes we rent, we’re letting others pay off the mortgages. We’ll eventually sell them and use the $$$ for retirement.
I don’t think I can be a successful business owner ever. I would love to. I think for me, I have to get recruited by talent only. Like have a portfolio of projects and have them call me. I have extremely low self esteem. I’m talking about programming and development jobs. I don’t even have the skills yet. But I’m looking down the road. I’ll probably work for a small company or do remote/temp work. As long as I get some money and bacon – I’m okay lol.
The thing is I live off of like $200 a month after I pay room and board. So that’s all I have for the month unless it’s a holiday, birthday, etc.
I have a small special needs trust, but I cannot live without my parents. I have no emotional support and no one to talk to or trust. I have no friends and I don’t want any friends.
I’m hoping to keep SSI or at least Medi-Cal and live off of 1k a month for 30+ years if things go according to plan. A job would be nice. I’m pretty sick. I think I got more than schizoaffective + aspergers and it’s not a competition and I’m not looking for sympathy either.
Maybe I’m living in fantasy world/land and this will never come to fruitation, but I hope to have published something and maybe a patent or two before I die. It’s more of a life goal of mine.
If all else fails, at least I’ll have my dog and a roof over my head. I have a lot to thank for because of my dad. Nobody else.
There are many ways to wealth. I have a cousin who earned his millions through a corporate career. My mum has a small business since the 80s. She is also pretty wealthy and owns 3 properties. But, she had it harder being a single mum and running a business.
I’ve owned a business once. One of the worst decisions I’ve ever made actually. I was highly delusional at the time (before meds).
But like you, I thought I would become wealthy from it.
I will only work w-2 now
I Wouldn’t want the stress or responsibility of owning a business
If you own a business like the people my mom worked for 18 years you can be well off. She was a short fry cook. Didn’t get paid ■■■■. Few raises. No benefits. No time off. Worked holidays. Trained new workers in for free.
The only perk is that I got free meals when she was working.
My dad’s employers thought they were well off. Lake homes and cabins. They eventually folded.
That question covers a lot of ground. Going into business as a dog baby sitter probably won’t get you that much money, but like they say, if you build a better mousetrap the world will beat a path to your door. Owning a business won’t be an easy way to make wealth. You would have to commit a lot of money and a lot of resources into it. You would have to take out major loans, so if your business didn’t succeed you would lose your ass. It seems like a lot of people start businesses owning restaurants, and I’m glad they do. They work their ass off for their money, but I do think they make a lot of money.
This is the franchise I am trying to buy.
