Is it possible to hallucinate text?

Is it possible to hallucinate entire passages of text that are spelt correctly and are grammatically correct? Or am more likely to make tenuous connections with what I’m reading to real life while psychotic?

I had a psychotic episode recently in which I believed my sister had been psychologically abusing me all my life. But around the same time I read a post here in which the poster was complaining about their sister psychologically abusing them.

Of course it could have been a coincidence but I believed the post was made by my sister and she was mocking me with it.

Things like this have happened so many times that it feels like a coordinated psychological attack by the world.

Yes it is possible to hallucinate text. Or to have text illusions. Or delusions of reference in text. I did every day for 14 years @sharpexit

Maybe its delusion of reference, but yes you can hallucinate text. I once read strange messages on the TV’s subtitles, and once the ordinary letters were replaced by kyrillic signs
