I have sz and I’m also on disability, and I’ve found it hard to get a girlfriend. I’ve been trying, putting myself out there on the dating sites but nothing has worked. It’s certainly not impossible – it just takes the right woman to come along. Good luck! @anon80490300

Yeah but it’s unlikely to last unless you and her learn to live with less than what most people expect. It can technically be done. Our ancestors stayed together just surviving. It’s just difficult to pull off.

Nowadays people want to have fun and live life to the fullest. Very few believe in self sacrifice and dedication to make a relationship work, especially when the partner has a disability. But such selfless people still exist and they are even more special because they are rare. I hope you find such a person.

It’s possible to get a partner, yes.
The problem is, schizophrenics on disability are on disability for a reason.
Their communication skills, energy level and symptoms keep them from holding down even a part-time job.
Those same things will also keep them from being able to make and keep connections with others.

I’m trying to get to the point where I don’t care. Odds are I won’t find love like I’m looking for. It would be nice to find it, but I doubt I will. Maybe I should hang out at a schizophrenia clubhouse or something.
