Is it possible to have a intimate relationship if your sz. I read some of you are married. They say sz people tend to never get married. I think it be extremely hard to have a relationship, although I think its do able.
I have been so lucky to find a person who acepts me with my illness.
I have been in a relationship with a woman with sz for 7 years, and they’ve been the best years of my life. We love each other.
I feel strongly that I could not be in a relationship with a person who does not have sz/sza. I don’t think we’d connect on a deep, meaningful level.
Wow, your both sz. Did you guys meet in a ward? Seems like a strange coincidence.
Yeah, we met at a mental health drop-in center (a place to socialize, watch tv, listen to music, etc). It wasn’t long after we met that the center closed.
Interesting maybe I should visit the ward more often, lol. Try n find someone who understands what its like to have a mental illness.
I’ve often thought the same, I definitely feel like the minority as a single person here. A surprising amount of members are married or in long-term relationships.
I’m single, so I’m unsure how much weight my opinions hold, but I do think schizophrenics can have meaningful and loving relationships.
It’s just a matter of finding someone that you vibe with.
I thought you were gay, @anon17132524?
All my life I’ve tried to have “relationships” and all of them have failed. I no longer try.
I’m bisexual. I’ve had relationships with men and women (not at the same time).
@Grapes. I’m happily married so it can happen
