Is it possible to be immune to your own smell?

People have told me several times I smell, when I haven’t sensed much of a smell from myself. Is it possible I’ve gone immune to my own smell?

And is there a way to undo it?
I don’t want people to think I smell bad, I try to shower whenever I detect an odor.

Noody ever smells their own smell unless it gets bad. That’s why I stick to a schedule for showering.

I should too. Sometimes things get in the way and I put it off for too long

Yeah I think so. Some people have very distinct bo. I don’t think they can smell it but their whole house/room often smells like it. I sometimes wonder if I’m this way too. But my friend Had a distinct and strong bo, and when he got a tattoo you could really smell him so distinctly.

Yeah. most times you are used to your own smells and don’t smell what others do

My ex husband had a very distinct body odor. And our son had that exact same odor. My nephew says that I “smell like aunt Gina”.

back when I was 35

I gave off a strong flowery smell

that used to make my son gag

I think it was because I was in my prime sexually

but now adays B.O. is a breakthrough olfactory I get often

I have to ask people around me if I smell, cuz it’s very powerful.

I agree with @Ninjastar. Make a schedule and a stick to it. That way you can shower before the smell comes. Maybe every other day?

I was at computer training on Wednesday and the teacher really stinks
But then I thought you don’t know what going on in someone’s life that they smell maybe she can’t afford soap

I can get a bit smelly - cos i sleep and live in jogging bottoms for far to long sometimes. When my groin starts stinking - thats when i dive in the bath. I would bath more - but its pure apathy on my part - and when i dont see anyone for days in my flat - i sorta dont care. Gross i know. Never used to be like it - i think ive just got too damn lazy.

Just shower daily. It’s not hard. It requires no effort whatsoever.

I don’t smell anymore. Might be the ciggaretes

Yes its hard to detect your own smell. A good way to tell of you need to is put something fresh smelling near your nose for a minute like a dryer sheet ( not to close) and when it comes away you should be able to compare scents. But otherwise knowing your own level of scent is like a Zen art. You have to be aware of how long the last time you washed everything was. Also have to know what your capacities are on your body. I. E knowing how often you have to wash. And there is little tricks too like i like to use antiperspirant spray on my nether regions and feet. Also using a lufa or cloth every so often is good to clean your entire body is good. Ik its hard but this is considered part of taking care of yourself.

Yes it is like when you go to someones house and you can smell something when you walk in, but when you are at home you can smell nothing at all. Best just to stick to getting a shower when you wake up every day, you do not want to wait until it is too late.

There’s a commercial I saw one day for something like Febreze or something. This person didn’t smell the stink in their house and had gone “nose blind”. I think sometimes we go nose blind to our own odor.
