I was on Risperadol and Haldol for about 6 years. I came down with a severe case of diabetes. Not sure the medicine caused it or not. I have no proof. I have been on Haldol most of my adult life and it works for me.
I have taken both haldol and Risperdal with an antidepressant. Taking them together can cause heart rhythm irregularities. I chose to do it anyway because I needed both. I now take geodon with Celexa and the same holds true for those together as well. If you’re worried you could always ask for an EKG to see how you’re doing.
