One case out of all the people who take it

No, because an inanimate object cannot be gay or straight.

Maybe the person simply became less inhibited and got in touch with their true sexual desires?

Abilify made me hypersexual but not to the point of being gay. I was on it for 9 years. I had sex addiction with prostitutes. No issues now on Risperdal. I don’t think anything can make you gay. I believe its random and maybe its God.

That is the most likely answer. People don’t just up and change sexual identity. They have tendencies throughout life and some repress.

Just a question. Can a low dose of Abilify cause hypersexual or gambling issue? Lets say 10mg of Abilify.

I believe it did for me even at 2mg.

Hypersexuality and sexual orientation are two different things.

So when we die we lose our sexual orientation?

It’s the great unknown.

Yep. Dead things don’t have sex.

Tell that to Jimmy Saville lol

This thread makes me think of Abilify wearing a top hat and wielding a cane, defying classification and rejecting labels. Also a monacle.

I didn’t have that problem when I was on Abilify. It did give me an edge, though, and they eventually had to take me off it.

I have been on Abilify for a long time, I have a high sex drive but it has not made me gay, think that is silly

Abilify is gay, seroquel is genderfluid, geodon is polyamorous, and haldol is a lesbian

I didn’t read the article, but I will tell you that I have been watching some WEIRD porn. I am on abilify.

Watching weird porn is understandable if you’ve been watching porn for a long time and got bored of cliché’s. Being intimate with a real person is different than letting your mind and eyes wander for 5 minutes.

I don’t really ‘watch’ porn. Unless I’m taking care of that

But this happened 6 months after I started abilify. I’m 38 yo
