Is 21% alcohol content a lot?

If it were mixed in with tropical juices?

Can someone please tell me? Sometimes I think I don’t take meds and forget there can be bad interactions. I tried reading a couple of posts here and I can’t comprehend them… I’m drunk, I’m a moron and don’t know if I should take my meds on top of that I had a red bull. I had the malibu coconut rum mixed in at a bar and looked it up and it said 21%. My head hurts. I only had one drink

If you’re not sure it’s safe, either call a pharmacy and ask a pharmacist or just skip then for the night.

I’ll just skip, thanks

If I fall asleep, I’m not going to die in my sleep am I?

I’m not a doctor, but your should be fine with one drink. If you’re worried, just stay up until you’re not drunk anymore.

I drink sometimes while on meds. Not a lot, but 1 or 2 drinks. Dont worry, you wont die in your sleep. One drink is not THAT bad, though still better to be avoided.

Thanks just wasn’t sure if it was a high content

I think if it was mixed - and had the “standard” dose of alcohol in it! - it is no worse than a beer or wine. It all depends on how much alcohol was in it though…

I ate a nausea chewy tablet. It’s medicine and my heart feels like it’s going to explode. Not sure if it’s anxiety

I think if you call a pharmacist and for their professional opinion on the reaction and risk of medicine with alcohol it would really help your anxieties.

I don’t know who to call.

It’s the middle of the night

Are you in the US? Any 24 hour pharmacy will be able to help you.

Yeah, I thought I need an account there in order for them to help me

Nope. Not in my experience.

I suspect it is anxiety, but to be sure, i agree with @LED: call a pharmacist.

There is a teenager in the next room from me, and my boyfriend is partying, he might hear me too. I don’t want the teenager knowing my business. If I get up enough guts to call, I’ll pretty much ask if I can take my 4 meds?

Also the people I’m With think I stopped taking my meds bc they were harassing me to get off them

Almost certainly not. It’s likely to kill you about ten years down the road. You’d probably get one of those liver deaths, which are a nasty way to go. On the other hand, you might go more quickly. Your body hasn’t built up a tolerance for alcohol, so it might make some of your biological systems go into shock. I think that even a medical doctor couldn’t give you the precise date when mixing alcohol with your med’s would kill you. As for the 21% - that comes out to be 42 proof. An average whiskey is 80 proof, though there are beverages that are much stronger. You can get totally drunk on beer, which is about 7 proof - 3.2% alcohol.
