IQ Booster or a myth?

I heard from a friend that sugarcoated smarties chocolate raise your IQ by 1 point each, but it only lasts for 30 minutes. I ate over 100 yesterday and felt supersmart for a little while :relieved:
Can this be scientists secret?

Just imagine how smart you’d be if you owned a smartphone.

Is this a joke lol? You never know with psychotic ppl and their posts that I see here like treating schizophrenia with a warm hat lol

the ultimate iq booster is probably learning math, making mistakes, correcting them, and then learning new things in my case like working with hands, socializing, and trying new things. I don’t eat healthy or exercise and haven’t picked up a math book in ages. I definitely think learning math and going to calculus from algebra increased my brain muscles. Same thing now when working with my step-dad and helping around the house.

Technically that’s true. A smart phone is an extension of yourself. You can look up anything.

My wife has students who tell her they don’t need to learn grammar because they can use the Grammarly plugin. Or that they don’t have to memorize things because they can always look them up.

Okay. Google ā€œsurvival skillsā€ when you’re lost in the forest in the winter with no phone service or phone.

I’d survive. Betcha a lot of younger folks won’t.

Genuine improvement vs practice effect? State of mental and/or physical health? Performance anxiety?

A meta-analysis on IQ changes in patients with schizophrenia concluded that IQ improves less after repeated testing in patients with schizophrenia compared with healthy control participants; however, this conclusion was based on only 8 small case-control studies.19

I absolutely adore this place where we have to verify someone is making a joke and not delusional before we can safely laugh hysterically about it!

The OP is the very kind that I’m likely to take rather literally. Deciding whether something is tongue in cheek or not isn’t always easy.

I just saw your picture on the thread and thought I’d check if you took the OP literally.
